DOWNLOAD this 12 week off season triathlon specific strength program to discover new found performance in your next race. This particular program is focused on developing all the prime mover muscle groups that will get your cycling stronger.
This program consists of 3 sessions per week structured as:
Session 1 - Quadricep/Squat focus
Session 2 - Gluteal and hamstring development
Session 3 - Upper body & core swim focused
The program is further structured into 3x4 week progression training blocks which take you through well thought out gradual progressions of volume and intensity finishing with some power development in the last block of training to help you capitalise on the strength improvements you've gained.
If there is one thing constant with triathlon and life it is that strength underpins everything we do. If you rely solely on your swim/bike and run to develop fitness and strength you will find that you will quite quickly hit a plateau and as you get older your fitness will go backwards rapidly without this strength training.
